Story
Established in 1872, the brewery has been rooted in the area over 140 years, where the winter temperatures often drop to -20 degrees Celsius. Mr. Takeshi Sakurai, the master brewer, studied the brewing method at Department of Brewing and Fermentation in TOKYO UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE (this is the only brewing department in Japan) and trained himself at Dewazakura Sake Brewery in Yamagata. After coming back to the brewery in 2004, he started making the specially designated sake and launched his own sake brand "ASAMAYAMA". His brewing with reproducibility has a good reputation. The brewery is aiming to make the sake that is most suitable for vegetables.
