The Brewery

Tenzan Brewery, located in Ogi, Saga, sits near the Gion River, famous for Genji fireflies. Using the river's clear water, they craft sake that highlights the cereal flavors of locally grown sake rice. The historic brewery buildings, from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras, are recognized as national cultural properties and a Saga Prefecture Heritage Site. Their main brand, "Tenzan," is named after Mt. Tenzan, while "Iwanokura" is exclusive to Kyushu Island, and "Shichida" is sold exclusively through retailers and sake shops.
